Doing love energy meditations allow you to get the benefits of love
energy. By practicing these meditations regularly you create the pathways
in your body-mind-soul which will relax you and enhance your enjoyment
of life.
To receive the benefits of Love Energy Meditation, create a time and
a place in your life where you can practice this meditation. Find
a time in your day when you can be quiet and focused, such as first
thing in the morning when you get up or just before you go to bed
at night. These times, before sleep and after sleep, called reverie,
are particularly good times for meditation because we are at our most
relaxed, most receptive, and least distracted. Set aside 15 minutes
or so. You can start with 5 minutes, if you have very little time
flexibility. It is more important to get started practicing the meditation
than it is how long you do it. The goal is to practice it every day,
but don't worry if you don't do it every day. Accept yourself and
congratulate yourself every time you do it. It often takes a while
to develop new habits.
Set aside a place in your home, such as beside your bed, where you
will be at that time of day. Create your sacred space by putting things
in that space which will facilitate your meditation, such as a cushion
to sit on. If you want you can create an alter, with sacred objects
on it such as shells, stones, candles, pictures, objects which have
special significance to you, that give you a pleasurable feeling,
like joy, happiness, or inspiration.
The physical stretching exercises of yoga are useful to prepare you
for meditation. Gently stretching your body relaxes it and makes it
more receptive to higher states of consciousness. Doing yoga on can
help prepare you for meditation. Having a mat to do yoga on can help
facilitate the process. Exercises which I have found particularly
useful to me are the Cobra Pose and the Warrior Pose. The whole point
is to make it as easy as possible to do your love energy practice
every day. The goal is to achieve the benefits that love energy can
provide, like bliss, health, and empowerment.
An affirmation is a statement that expresses a belief you would like
to encourage in yourself. Such as "I am bold and brave and strong."
Ideally, affirmations should be customized to meet your specific needs
as an individual. Affirmations should be simple, easy to remember
and rhythmic. Repeating your affirmation again and again, day after
day will allow it enter into your unconscious and become part of your
world-view. Here are some Love Energy Affirmations by Deerheart which
may be useful to you. You may repeat these affirmations out loud or
silently to yourself while doing yoga poses, while meditating, or
even while you are waiting in line at the store. As you repeat these
affirmations, breathe deeply and regularly, visualizing light filling
your body. Doing these meditations can create a powerful energizing
electric tingling in your entire body.

When you are done, gradually allow yourself to come out of meditation.
Give yourself a minute or so to ground your energy. Begin to sense
your surroundings. Feel what you are sitting on. Look around you.
Take your time. When you feel ready, go about your regular daily activities.
