From angels to aliens, devas to demons, met in various states of altered consciousness including but not limited to our night dreams. Should we chalk them all up to the many forms of human imagination? What of gods and goddesses, muses and nature spirits? Gnomes of the earth, undines of the water, sylphs of the air, and salamanders of fire? The Faeries of Ireland, the Peris of Persia, and the musician Gandharvas and dancing Apsaras of India? Talk leaders Deerheart and Carl Schroeder have had their share of fantastical dreams, and with a sense of joyful possibilities will present examples of magical beings and the functions they hold. While Carl will be presenting the subject of Magical Beings from a Theosophical perspective, Deerheart will be presenting a Shamanic perspective.

Dreams are rich with visual imagery. Putting these images down on paper can help us to understand the meanings of our dreams in new ways. Visual imagery is very primal. It gets to the root of the feelings in our dreams. In this workshop we will be painting with washable tempera paint in brilliant colors on heavy paper. Even if you don't remember any dreams, you can still paint from your subconscious. Deerheart will show you how. No artistic talent is needed. All art materials will be provided. Just bring your dream journal if you have one or just bring yourself if you don't! Explore your inner world by painting your dreams.
